The Six Parts Seven was founded by brothers Allen (guitar) and Jay Karpinski (drums) in 1995. Located in Kent, OH, the band’s indie rock and roll appeal is due to the affects of Brian Eno and John Fahey. They released Silence Magnifies Audio in 2000 with Tim Gerak (guitars, examples), Brad Visker (bass). 2 yrs afterwards, the Six Parts Seven extended right into a sextet, adding Matt Haas (lap metal, high-lonesome electric guitar), and Steven Clements (grand piano). Stuff Designed in Passing implemented on Suicide Press that March. They toured to get the record for another two years. Throughout that period, The Six Parts Seven released a divide EP with using the Black Tips while also composing and recording another album. Lost Records From Forgotten Music made an appearance in fall 2003.
