In Dec 2002, ex-L7 bassist Jennifer Finch emerged through the LA underground with a fresh team. Referred to as Shocker (following the prurient hands gesture), the music group also included Lura Jones, Arye Glow, and Claudi Rossi. The music group wasted virtually no time, issuing the seven-song EP Up Your Ass Holder (Small Pusher/Oglio) in July 2003. With music game titles like “Poor Brain, Good Mind” and a snotty, NC-17 method of gritty punk revivalism, Shocker got arranged to overcome with summertime Warped Tour times and programs to take part in Warped impresario Kevin Lyman’s Women Garage, a golf club tour offering all-female rock functions.
