The Shadows

The Shadows — never to be confused using the R&B vocal band of that name in the 1940s, the renowned Uk instrumental outfit from the 1950s, or Bobby Vee’s backup music group — were a Southern garage music group. They cut a unitary, “IF YOU VALUE Me” b/w “THE BEST Clutter,” pressed by Woodrich Information of Nashville, TN, both sides which played from similar materials in two completely different directions effectively. These were a five-piece instrumentally, with two guitars and body organ (or piano) plus bass and drums, all with an excellent attack on the musical instruments, and their business lead singer had a robust and expressive tone of voice. They must’ve acquired one great audio in concert, and more’s the pity that their function wasn’t more thoroughly preserved.
