The Sea Lions

Equipped with a shambly, reverb-kissed sound that nodded to a variety of seminal indie pop works including Orange Juice, Dark Tambourine, the Field Mice, and the marriage Present, Oxnard, CA’s the ocean Lions officially got their begin in 2007 as Adrian Pillado’s single task. Pillado teamed up with Matthew Urango (electric guitar), Kyle Zufolo (bass/body organ), Pat Partida (drums), and Nick Hessler (tambourine) immediately after, and the recently produced group spent another few years documenting a small number of demos. Their initial “public” discharge, a 7″ EP entitled Let’s Groove, premiered on YAY! Information in ’09 2009. The music group played sporadic displays (like the NYC Popfest in springtime of 2010) and Pillado spent period home recording brand-new songs and writing them via Facebook. After putting your signature on to Slumberland in early 2011, the music group readied their debut full-length ALL YOU Always WISHED TO LEARN ABOUT the ocean Lions But Had been Afraid To Question, that was released in later fall.
