The Scoundrels

The Scoundrels’ make of hardcore rap and Southern crunk have scored them spots on Billboard’s sales charts, despite the fact that they have just attained regional exposure through their independent label Invisible Information. The four-member group, comprising Big Bo, Cutta, Christyles, and Mr. Malt, started documenting jointly in 2002 in Columbus, GA. Rappers Big Bo and Cutta in fact comprised the Columbus duo, the Backwood Young boys, and got some success using the one, “Down Right here,” off their 2001 record, Backwood Task. Big Bo and Cutta installed with Christyles and Mr. Malt back Columbus while these were documenting materials in Atlanta. Their popularity fascinated many big-name rap performers in the South, including Bone tissue Crusher, Eightball & MJG, and Bun B, because of their 2005 debut, 4 Ever Gullie. Signaling their developing reputation in the South, two from the album’s singles, “Ghetto” offering Pastor Troy and “Sister” with Bun B, graced the very best 30 for the Popular R&B/Hip-Hop Singles graphs which propelled their record in the very best 50 from the rap record graph in 2006.
