The Sandpebbles

From NEW YORK, NY, USA, this vocal group comprised Calvin White, Andrea Bolden and Lonzine Wright. White colored had been an associate from the Gospel Miracles in the first 60s and he brought some strong gospel-style singing towards the Sandpebbles when he created the group. Beneath the aegis of NY maker Tony Vann, the Sandpebbles loved big strikes with ‘Ignore It’ (amount 10 R&B, amount 81 pop) and ‘Like Power’ (amount 14 R&B, amount 22 pop) for the Calla label in 1967. The Sandpebbles transformed their name to C AS WELL AS THE Shells in 1968, and made by Jerry Williams, got a hit using a softer-styled ‘You WILL BE THE Circus’ (amount 28 R&B) in 1969. C AS WELL AS THE Shells still left Cotillion in 1970, and became a member of the small Zanzee label, where they documented with little achievement. The last discharge with the group is at 1973.
