The Fine sand Pebbles were formed by drummer Piet Collins, bassist Chris Hollow, and guitarist Ben Michael X, who met in Melbourne, Australia, while writing scripts for the Australian soap opera Neighbours. After growing to a quintet, they released their self-titled debut three-track EP on Video camera Obscura in 2001. They play riff-driven rock and roll with weighty echoes of ’60s psychedelia, browse music, and punk/hard rock and roll crossover designs. 2002 saw the discharge of their 1st full length recording, Eastern Terrace.
