The Robichaud Brothers

Gerry Robichaud (fiddle) and Bobby Robichaud (electric guitar) were given birth to in Saint-Paul, New Brunswick, Canada, the sons of Premelite Robichaud, a farmer. Their musical passions seem to have already been inherited off their mother, who was simply a good fiddler. The Robichaud home was the picture for any amount of “kitchen rackets” over time, with the youthful brothers making the feeling on those constructed. Eventually they started playing beyond the home, with Gerry learning a good deal from a retired fiddler, Oscar Melanson. Melanson was bedridden and struggling to play, because of outward indications of infantile paralysis, but he was still in a position to teach Gerry Robichaud the music he understood. Another influence, down the road, was Don Messer, well-known across Canada for his innovative fiddling design; Messer is known as to get influenced the artwork of fiddling in nation music. As the Robichauds possess spent a long time playing, they will have documented little (Gerry offers two albums by himself label), using the Slippery Stick becoming the main one extant exemplory case of the brothers collectively, demonstrating the initial Acadian design common to community performances.
