The Resentments

The Resentments began being a jam session among five fixtures in the root base rock and alternative country picture, but evolved right into a real music group. A regular person in Kris Kristofferson’s music group in the 1970s, Stephen Bruton was alt-country when it had been called outlaw nation and he was still known as Turner Stephen Bruton. He caused Rita Coolidge, Willie Nelson, T-Bone Burnett, and Billy Joe Shaver prior to starting his single recording profession and launching four albums of his very own within the 1990s. In 2002, he shaped the Resentments with guitarists/performers Jon Dee Graham and Jud Newcomb, who’ve almost equally amazing resumés. Graham helped discovered root base rock pioneers the real Believers, documented with SOMEONE IN PARTICULAR and Kelly Willis, and released three critically acclaimed albums of his very own. Newcomb’s always been a fixture in the Austin music picture and has used Ray Wylie Hubbard and Bob Schneider.
