The Ready Set

Beginning in 2007, Indiana teen Jordan Witzigreuter started retreating to his parents’ cellar to record tunes that straddled the border between melodic emo-pop and bubbly electronica. Although he used a name for the task — the Prepared Arranged — Witzigreuter required a solo method of the tunes, which he documented and performed completely by himself. Within 2 yrs, he’d got a agreement with Decaydance Information, who matched him up with several veteran emo companies (including Zack Odom, Kenneth Support, and Matt Squire) to record a debut record. The effect was I’m Alive, I’m Fantasizing, which appeared this year 2010. For the 2011 EP FEEL GREAT Today, Witzigreuter teamed up with manufacturer Ian Kirkpatrick and the casual songwriting partner, including Kara DioGuardi. After departing Decaydance as well as the Warner Bros. company with his following album already happening, Witzigreuter found a fresh house at Razor & Connect. Working once again with Kirkpatrick and sounding also poppier, the next Prepared Set record, The Poor & the Better, premiered in-may of 2014. Witzigreuter spent 2015 on the side project combined with the Prepared Set’s live guitarist, Cameron Walker. Teaming with Summer months Established drummer Jess Bowen, the trio produced Nekokat and released the Conversation EP in June of 2015. On the other hand, the Prepared Set had turned labels again, this time around shifting to Hopeless Information. Their third record, I AM Nothing at all Without Your Like, premiered in Apr of 2016 and presented a far more mainstream pop-friendly audio.
