Brooklyn’s brooding, post-punk-influenced trio the Prosaics includes vocalist/guitarist Andy Comer, bassist Joshua Zucker, and drummer William Kuehn. Comer, previously of the music group Tel Aviv, fulfilled Zucker early in 2002 through a shared friend, and started focusing on demos. A cassette of their song-sketches produced its method to Kuehn, who utilized to play in Rainer Maria. The three-piece honed its collaborative songwriting visual, and by summer time 2002, the Prosaics had been playing regional gigs that drew crucial praise. NY Magazine called the group among the city’s “25 Greatest New Rings,” and following gigs using the Liars, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, as well as the Rapture cemented that popularity. In fall 2004, the music group released its debut EP, Aghast Agape, via Dim Mak.
