Among the many Los Angeles garage area rock bands from the mid-’60s that made an obscure solitary or two, the Preachers certainly are a bit more known than most such functions because of the addition of their ferocious edition of “Who also Do YOU LIKE” using one of the extremely first ’60s garage area rock and roll compilations, Pebbles, Vol. 1. Throughout their short lifetime, they handled three singles on the tiny Moonglow and Pep brands, usually sticking with a heavily Moving Stones-influenced, pouting strategy. Though a 4th solitary, “Moanin'”/”Simply Don’t Complain,” was documented right before they split up, Moonglow released this solitary beneath the group name of John British & the Lemondrops, British being their business lead singer of that time period. Initial Preachers guitarist Richard Fortunato later on became a member of the Vejtables, co-writing that group’s last solitary, the psychedelic “Shadows”/”Experience the Music.”
