The Pop Project

The Pop Task was born within the suburbs of Detroit in 1998 as several senior high school kids gathered to generate music to excite both them, family, friends, and their growing group of fans. They quickly constructed a pursuing in Detroit and throughout different Michigan college cities. Right from the start, vocalist/guitarist Dave Lawson took a business lead role. Using the later on addition of Zach Curd reducing Lawson of some vocal responsibilities, the Pop Task began a fresh era as significant songwriters and devoted musicians, rarely going for a break from live shows. Bassist Lauren Orr remaining the music group in nov 2000 immediately after the band’s efficiency in the Detroit Summer season Smash music event and the documenting of the debut recording, Let’s Eat Green Coffee beans. In 2001, drummer Dave Knepp remaining the music group and was briefly changed with Dave Shettler of Detroit’s Moods for Moderns. In nov 2001, Adam Kempa of Michigan music group the Recital got over on drums. All along, Chris Graves performed gleefully on acoustic guitar and bass because the Pop Project’s inception. Having a concentrate on melody, an instant pay attention to the Pop Project’s music conjures up feelings and sounds similar to the Beach Kids, the Beatles, and Big Celebrity.
