Using the 1997 launch of their debut EP Just Fine on Grandma Records, Phantom Tones debuted their hybrid of power pop and punk nostalgia with their native of Turku, Finland. Since that time, the quartet of P. Kaukonen (vocals/acoustic guitar), A. Väntänen (acoustic guitar), J. Sakki (bass), and J. Huovinen (drums) continuing this style because they authorized to Hiljaiset Levyt Information in 1999 and released their follow-up EP Phantastico that same 12 months. Their debut full-length, Entitled Nameless, premiered the following 12 months.
