The Paperbacks

Believe the Runaways get together AC/DC within a dingy Chicago garage area and you’re near to the totally rock and roll sound that hails from the Paperbacks. Produced in 2000 by vocalist Laura L. Hotshot, the Paperbacks produced their debut helping punk legends the Dictators at Chicago’s Clear Bottle. They initial landed on Compact disc with an appearance on “an ideal gift for rock and roll & move scumbags” — Traveling Bomb’s Surprise Deal: The Collector’s Model Compact disc, released in 2003. A calendar year afterwards they released their debut EP on Enabler. The self-titled Compact disc had its discharge delayed by fourteen days as Hotshot appeared for a music group photo “that talks if you ask me” and “doesn’t make me appear therefore drunk.”
