The Nommonsemble may be the brainchild of NY free jazz drummer Whit Dickey, who used the David S. Ware Quartet within the mid-‘90s and it has led tasks released over the AUM Fidelity and Wobbly Rail brands. All of those other Nommonsemble contains pianist Matthew Shipp, violist Mat Maneri and alto saxophonist and flautist Rob Dark brown. Each one of the four music artists acquired played with a number of the others in a variety of combinations prior to the Nommonsemble was produced: Dickey and Maneri performed on Shipp’s 1997 work Flow Of X, for instance, while Brown performed on Dickey’s Transonic plus some early Shipp albums. However the Nommonsemble’s 2001 debut Lifestyle Cycle was the very first time these players acquired ever recorded jointly being a quartet.
