The Niro

Italian singer/songwriter Davide “The Niro” Combusti was created in Rome Oct 6, 1978. The child of the drummer, the 1st drum he began playing was the drums, but down the road he learned acoustic guitar and bass, as well. After some small encounters in the Roman underground music picture being a drummer, he began his own music group in 2002 , and known as it the Niro, that he was both singer as well as the songwriter. Following the music group divide in 2004, Combusti held the moniker for himself, hence starting an effective solo profession. In the next years he opened up the Italian gigs of essential international acts such as for example Sondre Lerche, Lou Barlow, Isobel Campbell, Terribly Drawn Boy, as well as Deep Crimson and Amy Winehouse, and for the time being he previously the opportunity to play in both Italy and overseas (France, Austria, USA). In 2006, the Niro was asked to Boston to participate to a global tribute to Elliott Smith, where he performed Smith’s melody “Everything Reminds Me of Her,” and — because of the eye of Radiohead’s supervisor Chris Hufford — he also came out on Anti Atlas’ record Between Two/Between Voices, while in 2007 he performed a five-date tour in the brand new York clubs. Because of an opening slot machine for Carmen Consoli in London, then agreed upon with General and released his debut record, The Niro, in Apr 2008 (preceded with the EP A TYPICAL Guy). Both information showcased an extraordinary artistic character (whose more powerful vocal resemblance are available in Jeff Buckley) with the capacity of composing heartfelt ballads with catchy music and interesting electro-acoustic musical soundscapes.
