The New Pornographers

The Vancouver indie rock supergroup the brand new Pornographers feature the talents of Zumpano’s Carl Newman, the Evaporators’ John Collins, Destroyer’s Dan Bejar, cartoonist/filmmaker Blaine Thurier, drummer Fisher Rose, and guest vocalist Neko Case. Newman began the music group in 1996 like a lark after liberating Zumpano’s Goin’ Through Adjustments; one at a time, the other users joined the collapse, and the brand new Pornographers’ first standard rehearsal occurred in 1997. Following a two-year break, these were included on the Fleetwood Macintosh tribute compilation record Just Inform Me THAT YOU WOULD LIKE Me using the monitor “CONSIDER Me.” It could take another 2 yrs for the brand new Pornographers to announce information on new materials; their sixth studio room album, entitled Brill Bruisers, premiered in August 2014. In 2017, the brand new Pornographers shown their seventh record, Whiteout Conditions; following a longer romantic relationship with Matador Information, it had been the group’s first discharge independently label, Collected Functions Records, distributed in america by Concord GROUP.
