The Mumlers

Called after scandalized 19th century spirit photographer William H. Mumler, this San Jose indie folk collective requires a multi-genre method of songwriting, having an eclectic mixture of equipment (extracted from a giveaway with the San Jose Unified College Region) and designs similar to Devendra Banhart. Produced in 2005 by vocalist/songwriter Will Sprott, the Mumlers contain multi-instrumentalists Mercedes Un Vencere, Andy Paul, Adam Fenwicke, Müller, Felix Archuleta, and Paolo Gomez. With Sprott sense that he previously come up with a supergroup of previous friends and regional music artists, the Mumlers started playing displays in San Jose to warm receptions, and in 2007 the music group released its debut record, Thickets & Stitches, on Galaxia. In ’09 2009 the Mumlers released their follow-up record, Don’t Toss Me Away, before moving out on their initial nationwide tour, where they opened up for the Dark Heart Procession.
