The Mourning Reign

Produced in San Jose, California, USA, the Mourning Reign had been garage strap peers from the Chocolates Watchband as well as the Harbinger Complex. Primarily referred to as the British, they comprised Frank Beau Maggi (vocals), Johnnie Bell (business lead acoustic guitar), Steve Canali (tempo acoustic guitar), Charlie Backyard (bass) and Craig Maggi (drums). These were highly popular within the suburbs of southern and east SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, playing punk-styled materials derivative from the Rolling Rocks and Yardbirds. The group documented a cover edition of ‘Bad Hearted You’ as their debut in 1966, before completing a compulsive unique song, ‘Fulfillment’s Guaranteed’, as its follow-up. Thomas O’Bonsawin after that changed Bell, but although two additional tracks were finished to get a third solitary, it continued to be unissued because the Mourning Reign split in 1968 when many members had been drafted to Vietnam.
