The Moondoggies

Rooted in folk-rock and woodsy Americana, the Moondoggies consider affects from such vocally willing teams as the Byrds, the Music group, and the Traveling Burrito Brothers. Although hailing from Seattle, seed products for the band’s development had been planted in close by Everett, Washington, where Kevin Murphy (vocals, electric guitar), Robert Terreberry (bass), Carl Dahlen (drums), and Caleb Quick (keyboards) produced a teenaged music group while participating in Cascade SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. The students uncovered their skill for three-part vocal harmonies, so when Murphy came back from a summer-long stay static in Alaska in 2005, the four close friends reconvened in Seattle to create the Moondoggies. Taking on residence at an area dive bar called the Blue Moon Tavern, the Moondoggies honed their build and shortly netted a agreement with Hardly Artwork, an imprint of Seattle’s very own Sub Pop Information. AVOID BEING a Stranger, the band’s woozy debut, made an appearance in 2008, using the mature Tidelands pursuing in Oct 2010. Third record Adios I’m a Ghost, released in 2013 and along with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Jon Pontrello towards the music group, fell somewhere within both in sound and build.
