The Mondo Crescendo

Indie-pop combo the Mondo Crescendo was produced in Washington D.C. in 1995 by vocalist/guitarist Jennifer Taylor; originally dubbed Juniper, the group debuted another year on the Turntable Friend using the one “YOU DO NOT Hide Therefore Well,” accompanied by seven-inches for Orange Peel off (“Producing Gerard Smile”) and Fantastic (“Think that and Die Considering”). Upon relocating to SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA in 1997, Taylor rechristened the music group Mondo Crescendo, and — supported by ex-Ropers bassist Mike Hammel and drummer Douglas Armour — released the Blackbean & Placenta Tape Membership EP Obtain Faded in 1998. The full-length Youthful, Naked & Extremely with It made an appearance a year later on.
