The Ministry of Wolves

The Ministry of Wolves can be an international music collective that formed to be able to soundtrack a theater production of Republik der Wölfe, a retelling from the Brothers Grimm fairy tales through the zoom lens of poet Anne Sexton’s Transformations, a assortment of poems about them. The task was aimed by Claudia Bauer, who commissioned member Paul Wallfisch (ex-Firewater, Botanica), musical movie director of Theatre Dortmund, to create an ensemble to execute live with the stars. He collected Mick Harvey (ex-Crime & the town Solution, PARTY, Nick Cave & the Poor Seed products), and current C&CS users Alexander Hacke (ex-Einstürzende Neubaten) and Danielle de Picciotto. Their debut recording, Music from Republik der Wölfe, made an appearance from Mute in the U.K. in March of 2014 and internationally in April. Another collection of tunes adapted from your tales from the Brothers Grimm, Gladly Ever After, premiered in nov 2014.
