Just one more branch of the Elephant 6 collective’s family members tree, the Minders are led by singer/songwriter Martyn Leaper, a Uk expatriate surviving in Denver, Colorado. There he befriended Apples in Stereo system frontman Robert Schneider, who decided to discharge the Minders’ debut EP, Seriously and Listen to!!, on Elephant 6 within the springtime of 1996. Leaper set up a full-blown music group for the follow-up 7″, Paper Airplane, tapping drummer Rebecca Cole, guitarist Jeff Almond, and bassist Jeff Richardson; bassist Marc Willhite changed Richardson with time for Rocket 58, released on 100 Electric guitar Mania within the fall of 1997. The Minders’ initial full-length work, Hooray for Wednesday, appeared a calendar year later; immediately after the music group splintered simply because Leaper and Cole relocated to Portland, Oregon, where they set up a fresh lineup also offering business lead guitarist Adam Goldman, bassist Bryce Edwards, and keyboardist Rachel Blumberg. The Minders’ early singles had been put together in 1999 on Cul-de-Sacs & Deceased Ends. The Down in Fall EP implemented a year afterwards. Another studio work, Golden Street, surfaced in springtime 2001. Following long-players consist of 2003’s The Future’s Constantly Ideal, 2004’s tour-only launch The Stolen Boy, 2006’s From the Bright Guilty Globe, and 2013’s digital-only Cul-de-Sacs & Deceased Ends, Vol. 2.
