The Michael Gungor Band

CCM singer/songwriter Michael Gungor grew up in Wisconsin, where he spent his formative years leading worship providers along with his pastor dad. He examined jazz at Traditional western Michigan and North Tx universities, and finally resolved in Michigan and became a member of the teenager ministry Find the Fire. It had been there that he produced the self-described “liturgical post-rock” clothing the Michael Gungor Music group and began launching albums, including 2003’s Larger Than My Creativity and 2006’s Old Skies. Gungor and his wife, Lisa, ultimately relocated to Denver, CO and founded a community of believers known as Bloom. Throughout that period he also shortened the music group name to Gungor, liberating the album Gorgeous Things beneath the fresh moniker this year 2010.
