The Metroschifter began in 1994 being a solo project for Louisville designer Scott Ritcher. Supported by people of Endpoint and Falling Forwards, the Metroschifter would create a gentle mixture of melodic indie rock and roll and complicated hardcore. This audio was initially captured on the 1994 debut record, Capsule. By using Doghouse Information, Ritcher and business would discharge three extra albums and a number of one and splits with different brands. Amidst the big discography from the Metroschifter and his 1999 single record, Ritcher would also operate for mayor of Louisville being a Reform Party applicant in the 1998 election.
