Though this band’s personnel roster is apparently lost towards the mists of your time, their brilliant (and previously unreleased) “Like, You Funny Thing” survives on the many artists compilation, Nuggets THROUGH THE Golden State – The Sound Of Young Sacramento (Big Beat CDWIKD 195). A well-crafted jewel marrying California folk like the Vejtables to English R&B like the Pets, the tune can be distinguished by solid vocals and a surging body organ riff. Definitely well worth a pay attention if the middle-’60s can be your glass of tea.
