The Menthols

Shaped in Kalamazoo, MI following the demise of local strap the Breaks, the Menthols proceeded to go rather quickly from your party scene within their hometown to high-profile gigs like South by Southwest in Austin, TX. An early on lineup offering Sean Barney (vocals, bass), Chris VandenBosch (vocals, acoustic guitar), and Justin Miller (acoustic guitar) was ultimately solidified using the recruitment of Jeff Mahannah (who as a teenager was a lover from the Breaks, which presented Barney and Miller) on drums in 2005. The music group earned critical compliment from your underground music press for his or her 1st two singles, “Rats and Bugs” and “848.”
