The Megaphonic Thrift

Richard Myklebust (of Stereo system 21) teamed up with Linn Frøkedal and Njål Clementsen (of Low Frequency in Stereo system), and Fredrik Vogsborg (of Casiokids) to create Megaphonic Thrift in 2008. As contributors towards the noise-pop picture of Bergen, Norway, producing eager melodies punctuated by wailing opinions was an all natural development for the users, and in November of this 12 months, they released their 1st 7″, “Acidity Blues/Mad Mary.” It wasn’t a long time before Megaphonic Thrift inked a global deal with Fatal People Information and released their 1st EP, ONE THOUSAND Many years of Deconstruction, that was released by the end of 2009. After switching to Buzz Town and playing big displays at EuroSonic, International Live Music Competition, and SXSW, the group shipped their debut full-length, Decay Decoy, in early 2011. Their self-titled sophomore recording arrived a 12 months later on Golf club AC30, plus they transformed labels again for his or her third LP, Sunlight Stare Sound, that was released by YAP Information in 2015. It continued to earn a Spellemann Honor for the indie category, and received a vinyl fabric launch in 2016 by Aged Flame Information. They adopted it up in past due 2016 using the even more experimental Få Meg Til Verden i Tide, their 1st Norwegian-language launch, via Neues Information. The vinyl adopted on Old Fire in springtime 2017.
