The Medusa Snare

The dreamy, distortion-kissed indie pop act Medusa Snare began in 2008, pretty much being a side project for Manhattan Like Suicides bassist Adam John Miller. Squarely in the same C-86-adoring genre but sketching from a somewhat different pack of affects (Led by Voices as well as the Clean main included in this), Miller’s family pet recording project required a backseat towards the Manhattan Like Suicides, who became something of the sensation following a launch of their self-titled debut recording in 2006. In 2008, by using Matthew Leach and Manhattan Like Suicides’ drummer Eddy Lines, Miller documented what would end up being the Medusa Snare’s debut full-length recording. When the Manhattan Like Suicides amicably break up the following 12 months, Miller concentrated his energies within the Medusa Snare. Rachel Barker (also from the Manhattan Like Suicides) was induced table as the fledgling band’s fresh drummer (Lines experienced his places on another task, Downdime), Daniel Morris became the group’s bassist, and guitarist John Perry was brought in to the collapse to circular out the group’s audio. The Medusa Snare’s debut full-length, Cinderella, premiered on Squirrel Information in nov 2009. Over another 2 yrs, the Medusa Snare documented some new tunes, including a Tullycraft cover, included on the Tullycraft tribute recording Want I’d Kept a Scrapbook.
