The Mediam

Portland’s the Mediam began with Gus Nicklos (vocals) and Ondrej Fercak (acoustic guitar), two close friends who had played together in several high-school rings. After graduation, Nicklos and Fercak recruited Joe Mengis (drums) for his or her the short-lived hardcore group 5 Cent Refund. When the music group break up, the trio was influenced by famous brands Bad Religious beliefs, Quicksand, as well as the Foo Fighters and regrouped as the Mediam. After enlisting Adam Pike as bassist in 2003, the music group began touring through the entire West Coastline. The Mediam released several EPs — One (2002), Out of Suggestions (2003), as well as the White House Classes (2004) — and came into the studio room in 2006 to record their debut recording with maker Rob Daiker. In 2007, the group completed and released Celebrity, curved out its lineup with guitarist Elijah Russell, and performed several dates within the Warped Tour.
