The Matinée

The Matinee is a six-piece roots rock-band formed in Vancouver, Canada in 2007. The music group was shaped by longtime close friends Matt Layzell on business lead vocals, guitarist and pedal metal participant Matt Rose, bassist/banjo participant Mike Youthful, his sibling Dave Youthful on keyboards and mandolin, drummer Pete Lemmon, and guitarist/vocalist Geoff Petrie. The group quickly started their profession with much concentrate on touring, playing grueling displays in early stages with hardly any support or publicity. They self-released an extremely low-key, full-length recording independently Blue Collar Information imprint in 2007, accompanied by a self-titled EP 2 yrs later on.
