The Majestics

The countless Majestics groups and discographies get confused; there is the group from Miami, FL, that documented “Cave Man Rock and roll” on Marlin Information and others using the name. The Miami group’s recordings tend to be lumped using the Majestics from Detroit, MI, but there is no connection. And there could have already been two different organizations with this name through the Motor Town. Two future Curves sang using the Majestics, who documented for Contour Information, section of Bob West’s Lupine conglomerate. Billy Gordon, Joe Billingslea, while others documented “CRISIS” b/w “Teenage Gossip,” in 1960. Some recordings prior to the Contour launch are sometimes related to these Majestics. Since both had been from Detroit, historians prefer to hyperlink this group using the Majestics that documented “Oasis” in 1962 on Chess Information; it had been co-written by Willie Ewing, a significant shape in the Majestics’ brief profession. Thomas Mealey (detailed as Meatley in B.M.We.), Pedro Maneka, Maurice Fagin, and Warren Harris had been the Majestics who following supported Johnny Mitchell on two Chex singles. The label credits read Johnny Mitchell & the Majestics on “Provide Me a Cigarette” b/w “Shoppin’ and Hoppin'” (1961) another single, “THEREFORE I Can Neglect” (1962). Without Mitchell, the Majestics documented for Chex “Unsatisfied and Blue” b/w “Deal with Me AS IF YOU Want” later on in 1962. They were accompanied by “Unhappy Center” b/w “Gwendolyn” (1962) and “Baby” b/w “Teach Me to Limbo,” in 1963. A lot of the tracks had been co-written and made by Ewing, a Detroit article writer/maker with 39 game titles authorized with Broadcast Music Integrated. A popular Detroit group, the Majestics, like so numerous others, under no circumstances caught a rest. Fagin and Harris, along with Richard Road and Sandra Fagin, produced the Displays and documented for Motown from 1965 to 1968. Ewing is normally a born once again Christian and a pastor in Detroit, and his wife Brenda Diane Ewing provides released a gospel Compact disc.
