Austin indie folk collective the Lovely Sparrows formed in 2004 around longtime friends and collaborators Shawn Jones and Jason Cooper, whose live lineups range between someone to seven people. Following 7″ Consider Your Hats Off, You Godless Bastards, they released the EP Tugging Up Flooring, Pouring on (New) Color through Abandoned Appreciate Records in Oct 2006. The EP contains efforts from vocalist Lauren Steinburg and drummer/keyboardist Earl Vallery.
