The Lovell Sisters

The Lovell Sisters received their first big break in 2005, when the acoustic trio won a teenager talent contest sponsored by Prairie House Partner. The three siblings — fiddler Jessica, Dobro participant Megan, and mandolinist Rebecca — got previously studied traditional music in Calhoun, GA, where they got component in the city’s youngsters symphony and sang in an area cathedral choir. After hearing a documenting by bluegrass musician Jerry Douglas, the Lovells made a decision to ditch their traditional musical instruments and pursue root base music instead, resulting in their first efficiency as the Lovell Sisters in 2004. Following first-place surface finish on Prairie House Companion twelve months later on, the trio released When Forever Rolls Around, a assured debut recording co-produced by Brent Truitt.
