The Lolas

Alabama-based power pop/bubblegum combo the Lolas shaped in 1998 around vocalist/guitarist Tim Boykin (ex-Shame Idols), drummer Mark Reynolds, and bassist Walon Smith. They debuted using the Ballerina Breakout LP a season later, and implemented it with Sterling silver Dollar Weekend in 2001. Both albums had been released through the indie Jam! Between albums the Lolas do some touring, and documented a blisteringly faithful edition of “Color Me Impressed” for the 2001 Substitutes tribute on Facedown entitled Still left from the Dial. 2004 noticed the discharge of Something You Oughta Find out, once again on Jam!.
