The Legion

Swedish black metallic band the Legion were shaped in 1999 by drummer Emil Dragotinovic with guitarists David Svartz and Rikard Kottelin, who documented a set of demos within the next couple of years before launching their 2003 EP, Awakened Fury, also featuring vocalist Sune Hammarström and bass participant Lars Martinsson. Along using its same-year successor, the Unseen to Creation record (introducing brand-new vocalist Anders Fäldt), this positioned the group’s design squarely in the Swedish dark metal custom of inexorable fury and indefatigable acceleration, alongside famous brands Dark Funeral and Naglfar. However the Legion had been after that silenced until 2006 while Dragotinovic assumed the drum stool with Marduk, of which period their second record, Revocation, premiered, and noticed Svartz overtaking vocals, Martinsson supposing his electric guitar playing responsibilities, and brand-new bassist Kristoffer Andersson signing up for the fold.
