The Lancastrians

The Lancastrians produced their saving debut in 1964 using a version of Gale Garnett’s million-seller ‘We’ll Sing WITHIN THE Sunlight’ but, despite a crafted production by Shel Talmy, this personable cover version barely scraped the united kingdom Top 50. THE UNITED KINGDOM group’s breezy, if anonymous design was afterwards captured on ‘Allow’s Lock THE ENTRANCEWAY (and DISPOSE OF THE MAIN ELEMENT)’ (1965), initial documented by Jay AS WELL AS THE Us citizens, and ‘The Globe Keeps Going Circular’ (1966), donated by fellow-Talmy protéges the Kinks. Jimmy Web page, then a active session-man, played of all of their released recordings. The manufacturer’s curiosity about the Lancastrians waned as their singles demonstrated increasingly unsuccessful plus they subsequently disbanded.
