The Lamp of Childhood

Biography

Folk-rock combo the Light of Years as a child was shaped in LA in nov 1966 by singer/guitarist Wayne Hendricks, the previous spouse of Mamas and Papas vocalist Mama Cass and her collaborator within the Big 3 as well as the Mugwumps. Guitarist Fred Olsen, bassist Mike Tani and previous Mastin & Brewer drummer Billy Mundi comprised the initial Lamp of Years as a child lineup, which authorized to Dunhill to record its debut solitary, a cover from the Donovan traditional “Season from the Witch” released in early 1967. By that point, Mundi had been from the band–he’d became a member of Frank Zappa’s Moms of Invention–and after two even more Dunhill singles, “FIRST-TIME, Last Period” and “Two O’Clock each day,” the Light of Years as a child dissolved in June 1967.
