Hampden, ME’s the Getting rid of Moon is usually a five-piece rock and roll quintet that has a dark audio with suggestions of screamo and brass backdrops performed through impact pedals. Initially began as a part project, the youthful group includes hometown close friends Trevor Geaghan (bass), Ryan Hannan (vocals/acoustic guitar), Dan Lafayette (trombone), Chris Michaud (baritone sax/vocals), and Jeremy Yehle (drums).
