The Jim Yoshii Pile-Up

Oakland, CA’s Jim Yoshii Pile-Up began in 1997, when Paul Gonzenbach (vocals/acoustic guitar), Frankie Koeller (bass), and Ryan Craven (drums) began executing like a trio. The addition of guitarist Sikwaya Condon added much-needed fresh blood later on that year, as well as the music group took off, carrying out their unique make of textured indie rock and roll, including sensitive and harsh shades along the Western Coast. Named honoring Jim Yoshii, a higher school friend from the music group, the group released a self-titled EP on Yoshii’s personal Old Prospector Information in 1999. Guitarist Ian Connelly became a member of in 2000, as well as the band’s 1st full-length, It’s Winter season Here, premiered the following 12 months on San Francisco’s Completely Kosher Information. Condon quickly stepped down like a full-time person in the music group, opting and then contribute occasionally towards the group. His full-time alternative was guitarist Noah Blumberg, who was simply 1st presented on 2002’s Home made Drugs CD, once again on Completely Kosher.
