The Japanese Home may be the solo project of London-based singer/songwriter Amber Bain. Crafting a variety of lush fantasy pop and brooding electronica, the Buckinghamshire indigenous worked under a small number of different monikers before using japan Home name in 2015. The name was influenced with a childhood visit to Devon, where she posed like a boy for weekly, making the affection of the neighborhood girl who was simply afterwards heartbroken to understand Bain’s true identification. Owned by celebrity Kate Winslet, the cottage was known as the Japanese Home and Bain’s thoughts of her encounters there inspired the intentionally androgynous display of her musical function.
