The Hunger

The Houston-based quintet the Craving for food fused the electronic textures of industrial music using the intensity of alternative metal. Produced during the past due ’80s, the group originally contains brothers Jeff and Thomas Wilson (both writing vocal and key pad responsibilities) and bassist Brian Albritton; originally a far more conventional dance device, they debuted in 1988 having a self-produced solitary titled “Surprise,” which became popular in local night clubs. Affected by Nine In . Nails, Ministry while others, the Hunger’s music eventually began gravitating toward an edgier, even more industrial audio; a subsequent solitary, “Never Once again,” caught the interest of Houston maker Stephen Bogle, who after agreeing to remix the monitor ultimately authorized on like a full-time guitarist. Following the addition of drummer Maximum Schuldberg, the Food cravings released their full-length indie debut, Keep Me Only, in 1991; upon developing their personal label, Gut Information, they came back in 1993 with Hold. Both were extremely effective regionally, and after completing another recording, Devil Thumbs a Trip, the group authorized to Common, which released the record in 1996; Cinematic Superthug, an additional development into an alt-metal audio, adopted in 1998. Spaceman’s Last Goodbye was released three years later on, and Getting Who We Are found its way to 2005.
