The House of Usher

THE HOME of Usher is also known as the “last” Goth rock-band from Germany, the same country that unleashed doomsayers Xmal Deutschland in the ‘80s. Produced in 1990 by Jorg Kleuden (vocals), Markus Get (electric guitar), Ray Nottinger (bass), and Victor Constrictor (electric guitar, keyboards) as Stories of Despair 1919-1925, the group transformed their name to the home of Usher like a tribute to horror writer Edgar Allan Poe. The band’s literary hunger doesn’t end using their name; Kleuden loves to create short stories for every album. Much like compatriots Xmal Deutschland – who have been no longer collectively when the home of Usher debuted, therefore cementing their position as Germany’s last term on Goth – dark British acts just like the Objective U.K. and Pleasure Division were essential influences. THE HOME of Usher’s 1st launch, Dance Hall Times Dawn Kissed, was just on cassette. After issuing even more tapes and an EP known as Relic in 1993, the home of Usher’s preliminary LP Stars COLLAPSE made an appearance in 1995. Originally authorized to Nyctalopia, the group finished up on Celtic Group Productions. In addition they participated in the publication from the publication and Compact disc compilation GOTHIC. Despite several line-up adjustments, Kleuden continued to be with the home of Usher, documenting Inferno/l’enfer in 2002.
