The Holydrug Couple

Using a sound that evokes the dreamlike natural amazing things of their homeland, duo the Holydrug Couple certainly are a area of the burgeoning psychedelic rock and roll scene increasing out of Chile. Located in Santiago, associates Ives Sepúlveda and Manuel Parra possess cultivated a drifting, bluesy audio that weaves a soft, recurring tapestry of electric guitar, drums, and vocals throughout the listener, softly enveloping them in levels of melody. The set produced their debut in 2011 using their initial LP, the self-released Awe, before quickly obtaining the attention from the eclectic, Brooklyn-based label Sacred Bone fragments, where they released their Old Land EP the next calendar year. In early 2013, the set emerged from their house studio room with Noctuary, their first full-length for Sacred Bone fragments, accompanied by a cassette of record demos off their BYM label. After comprehensive touring, the music group returned using the limited lathe-cut 7″ one “EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS All” b/w “Quetzal” in 2014. Moonlust, their sophomore full-length for Sacred Bone fragments, was prefaced from the singles “Dreamy” and “Baby, I AM GOING Away.” The recording premiered in May. Comprising what the music group phone calls an “unreal band of songs for just one of the greatest non-existing movies ever”, the ambitious Soundtrack for Pantanal fallen in 2017.
