The History of Colour TV

THE ANNALS of Colour TV is a Berlin-based shoegaze outfit whose origins began this year 2010 like a conceptual audio-visual project of musician Jaike Stambach. After self-releasing many experimental cassette-only EPs and associated videos, the task began to undertake a fuller form as Stambach earned extra bandmembers to color his dreamy, darkly textured pop tunes. Their first launch as an organization was 2011’s Color Television EP, which still integrated a number of the even more abrasive ambient textures of Stambach’s previously solo function, but was a lot more anchored in track format. A cope with Texas-based indie Saint Marie Information was struck plus they released their debut recording, 2012’s densely split Emerald Remedies Chic Ills. Stripping down their audio, while keeping it believe it or not potent, they came back in June 2014 with When Designs of Spilt Bloodstream Spelt Love.
