The Hillmen

The Hillmen were a bluegrass-styled combo that featured Chris Hillman, Don Parmley, Vern Gosdin, and Rex Gosdin. Located in Southern California, the short-lived group was an early on player for the reason that state’s burgeoning bluegrass and nation motion. The group produced some recordings between 1963 and 1964; Hillman ultimately left to become listed on the Byrds while Parmley visited Bluegrass Cardinals, Vern Gosdin pursued a profession being a nation crooner, and his sibling Rex became a nation songwriter. In 1995, Glucose Hill released the definitive Hillmen retrospective.
