The Gypsies


A lady R&B group from NEW YORK, NY, USA, comprising sisters Betty, Shirley and Earnestine Pearce, and Lestine Johnson. The group’s just strike was ‘Jerk It’ (amount 33 R&B) from 1965. In 1965 Shirley and Earnestine became a member of with Viola Billups to create the Flirtations, which acquired considerable achievement in 1969 using a Supremes -designed number, ‘Nothing at all But A Heartache’ (amount 34 pop), which sounded relatively retrograde within the spirit marketplace where it didn’t graph. A Flirtations record, Appreciate Makes The Globe Go Circular, surfaced in 1975 to no great acclaim.
