The Guthries

Based from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the Guthries originally started when three of its members performed within the Flourishing Airplanes within the mid-’90s. Determining to execute music they liked playing within their free time, the music group were only available in August 1998. Led by brothers Dale and Brian Murray (nephews of Anne Murray) and sibling and sister Gabriel and Ruth Minnikin, the group documented its debut recording in 2000. The Guthries also added Matt Mays to its primary of members. Documenting near a railroad monitor off Windmill Street, the music group released Off Windmill to great compliment and acclaim. The music group performed around Halifax pubs such as World Pool as well as the Attic. While carrying out in the Attic, the music group met a consultant from Brobdingnagian Information. The Guthries authorized using the label and toured throughout THE UNITED STATES and Europe. Evaluations in No Depressive disorder and other main music magazines praised the music group for its evaluations to the Music group. In 2001, the Guthries severed its romantic relationship with Brobdingnagian Information and in addition parted methods with Matt Mays. The music group expanded its audio to add horns and strings because of its second recording. The band’s second recording, The Guthries, premiered in 2002. The group in addition has been set alongside the Jayhawks, Wilco, and Uncle Tupelo. Additional shows for the music group add a hour-long television unique on Nation Music Television.
