Acquiring their name from the Nick Cave album of similar name, the nice Sons produced in 1992, creating a fan base within the Manchester/Preston section of England that they emerged. Their debut record, Performing the Glory Down, that was released in 1995, was well-received by both critics as well as the alt-country picture that existed in the uk at that time.
